While we are waiting for September 23 for the season 2 of Empire, here are few things to expect that are going to spice up the new season.
The second season is going to be a little more furious as rapper and actor Ludacris (Christopher Bridges) is going to be introduced in the show. It seems Ludacris is going to be a prison guard judging from the picture posted on Instagram. So as long as Terrence Howard will be in prison we are going to keep seeing Ludacris.
Expect a longer season when season 2 returns next year: “Empire will return with more than the first season’s 12 episodes, though how many more is a topic of much debate.” Apparently co-creator Danny Strong and Daniels disagree on how many episodes. Daniels wants to keep it at 12, while Strong wants more than 12; although likely not the typical 22- episode season TV series tend to follow.
Ludacris is only one of the big names that are being added to Empire next season, Chris Rock and Lenny Kravitz will have roles, Oprah Winfrey and Common are going to be making appearances. All the stars being added to the show, ,my personal favorite is Chris Rock. i just can’t wait to see this hilarious man in action.
I do wonder if the show’s creators can carry its current momentum into and through a second season. When it does return, will fans be as hungry as they are now, especially with a lot more competition likely on the way. I only hope it meets expectations as Empire is one of my favorite TV series in 2015.
